Google Play Protect displays an “Unsafe app blocked” dialog when installing or updating the GmsCore APK. Users can proceed by choosing “Install anyway”, but the warning appears on each install/update and is confusing. A user reports that this dialog does not appear when installing other microG builds.

Steps to reproduce

Install or update GmsCore on a device with Google Play Protect enabled.
Observe the Play Protect warning before installation.

Expected behavior

GmsCore installs without the warning, or the project documents why the warning is expected and how to proceed safely.

Actual behavior

Play Protect blocks installation until the user explicitly chooses “Install anyway”.

Please check whether the target SDK level causes this warning and whether an appropriate target SDK change is feasible.
